CBS Denver is reporting that an Arapahoe County woman is currently going through a series of rabies shots after she was bitten by a bat this weekend.

She wasn't out in the wilderness and picked up a bat, but rather the bat was in her bedroom and bit her while she was asleep. She awoke to a sharp prick on her finger and saw the bat flying around.

Her husband was able to get the bat out of the home. Tri-County Health Department is going to attempt to locate the bat to test for rabies.
