Record Heat Coming To Northern Colorado This Week

One year ago this week, we were going from record heat to a snowstorm the day after Labor Day. THIS year, we're still going to be dealing with more record heat, minus the snowstorm, as temperatures are expected to get up into the upper 90s later this week.

According to KDVR, not only are we going to be dealing with the heat, but more smoke is expected to find its way over the Rockies and settle over us for at least a couple of days with an air quality warning going into effect for the Front Range.

We are forecasting dry conditions across Colorado through Friday with high pressure in control. Front Range highs today (Tuesday) will reach 87 degrees.

It's been a hot and smoky summer, and that trend looks to continue with not much of a cool down expected, at least in the near future. So, if you're looking to break out those fall clothes, you may want to hold off a bit longer.
