The Taste of Home Cooking School: Behind the Scenes

Groceries are unloaded and the prep has begun for our Taste of Home Cooking school tonight at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins.

We are getting set for a great night at the Lincoln Center. It's time for our Taste of Home Cooking School, we'll start tonight at 5pm with a local producers expo. Come see all the great products produced right here in northern Colorado.

Then at 7pm it's time to dig in, our guest Taste of Home Cooking School Chef Kristi Larson will begin making some great dishes that are tasty and easy to make in your own kitchen. (don't worry, she'll walk us through each step)

Chef Kristi will make 10 recipes for us to learn. She'll likely make one or more of some of these great recipes:

• Potato and Cheddar Cheese Pierogi
• Chicago Deep-Dish Pizza
• Baja Fish Tacos
• Baby Bella, Caramelized Onion & Swiss Panini
• French Dipped Beef Baguettes
• Italian Sausage Market Meatloaf
• Garden Veggie Lasagna
• Banana Split Icebox Cake
• Easy Lemon Curd Bars
• OR Chunky Veggie Slaw

No Matter what Chef Kristi makes it is sure to be wonderful and easy to make at home. Chef Kristi is the oldest of six kids and learned to bake from her mom and grandma. Her favorite recipe is her grandma's dinner rolls. She was born in Washington and now lives in Utah. She doesn't like to wear socks (even in winter), her favorite food growing up was Dill Pickles (new I liked her for a reason-now fry them for me Kristi) and she started helping her mom in the kitchen when she was 4 or 5 years old.
