UPDATE - 5:40 p.m. The entire apartment building has been evacuated and tenants will not be allowed back in for the next several hours.

4:59 p.m. A moderate explosion occurred in a ground level unit. Fire crews are now determining what caused the explosion. Apartment residents say there was some sort of fire that caused debris to fly everywhere and noise to rattle at about 2:45 p.m., according to Denver7. One woman has been taken to the hospital, though her  injuries were not serious.

4:42 p.m. Officials with the Denver Fire Department say crews are on the scene of a residential fire at Acacia Apartments, 429 E. 14th Avenue. A possible injury is being reported.

A possible explosion has closed several streets in Denver, according to the Denver Police Department.
