I always thought it would be kind of exhilarating to sneak into someone's vehicle and go for a ride, hiding in the backseat, not making a sound, and getting out when they finally arrived at the destination.

One vehicle you might not want to try that in is a police cruiser. Sure, it's probably by far the safest option, but you could get in a lot of trouble. One Colorado deputy had a stowaway passenger in the cruiser this week, and it wasn't a human.

Chicken Sneaks Into Colorado Deputy’s Patrol Cruiser

According to the Garfield County Sheriff's Office, a chicken roosted inside the cruiser for quite some time before it was noticed. The hen spent three hours inside the vehicle that traveled 65 miles on patrol when she popped out after the Garfield County Sheriff's Office deputy stopped to update a colleague on the side of the road.

The Facebook post says that the hen reported for duty on Wednesday morning, assisting in a crash along Interstate 70, a DUI assist, and a traffic operation. The Garfield County Sheriff's Office says that the hen must have heard the Sheriff's Office was hiring. However, there is no official "cluck" as to whether she will be applying at the hiring event on September 26.
