
These Greeley Breweries Are Gone, But Not Forgotten
Before craft beer had the name "craft beer," it was just plain ole' beer, and Colorado has a rich history of brewing. Colorado's first recorded brewery, Rocky Mountain Brewery, opened in 1859.

Years later, Adolf Coors partnered with Jacob Schueler to create the Golden Brewery, what we know and love as Coors today. Craft beer started gaining traction in the late 1970s, and since then, hundreds of craft breweries have been established all over the state.
