It's going to be a wild eight-second ride this summer in Northern Colorado. The announcement came today from the PBR Rodeo that a new event will be happening in Fort Collins this summer.

Professional Bull Rider CEO, Sean Gleason, posted on Facebook Monday that the iconic, Last Cowboy Standing event will be held at Canvas Stadium for two nights in July.

Sean Gleason started the announcement of the event off by saying that he is disappointed that the Professional Bull Riders would not be a part of the events at Cheyenne Frontier Days in Wyoming this year.

The Last Cowboy Standing rodeo will take place on campus at Colorado State University for two days, July 21 and 22. According to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, the Last Cowboy Standing rodeo is one of PBR's most exhilarating events that feature 40 of the world's best bull riders who compete over two nights.

The cowboys move forward in the rodeo in a ride-to-advance format and the winner in the most recent Last Cowboy Standing rodeo won $50,000.

Details are still being worked out for the Last Cowboy Standing rodeo at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins. What we do know is that there will be two major country artists performing during the rodeo this summer.
