Keep Your Wallet at Home: Free Activities in Northern Colorado
Gosh, things are expensive these days. I guess I don't need to tell anyone that, as you can feel it just by going to the grocery store. What used to be within reach is getting further and further away from being doable.
But enough with all of the negative talk. Let's take a look at the very cool things you can still do in Northern Colorado for absolutely no money.
From kids' activities to date night ideas, you definitely have some cool options.
Free activities for the kids
With summer coming to an end, sadly, all the splash pads in town have shut down, but the parks are open and still going strong. Also, in my opinion, this is the perfect time of year to go to the park, and with Northern Colorado having hundreds of options between Fort Collins, Greeley, and Loveland, this free activity is a classic that never gets old.
I love going to the library, and so did all three of my kids. Thousands of books are available for checkout, and this activity will only cost you money if you incur a late fee...which I seemed to always have to.
Date night ideas
Have you been to a fancy restaurant lately? The prices are insane. If you can sneak away with your significant other, you'll obviously want to do something special.
But what if you're on a tight budget? My husband and I love going to Downtown Fort Collins because the square is always hopping. From live music to a beautiful art scene, a trip downtown doesn't have to break the bank to be memorable.
So put your wallet away and enjoy some of the free activities right here in Northern Colorado.
