The owner of Bella's Market says the remaining 2 grocery stores (including the one in Wellington) are in the process of being sold - a huge relief for residents frustrated with the lack of fully stocked shelves.

"We anticipate that the stores will stay open during this time," said Sam Mancini. "Bella's will have a joint announcement with the buyer once the transaction is complete."

Wellington residents have been complaining and in dire need of a fully stocked grocery store - something Bella's Market just couldn't provide.

Following Mancini's 2012 bankruptcy and his various legal battles, KMGH-TV investigated the businessman accused of "starving" small Colorado towns. Soon afterward, Mancini sold 6 of his 8 Bella's Markets - except the stores in Wellington and Gypsum, Colorado.
