There are always risks when driving. Anyhting could happen on the roadways at any given minute. Driving is a form of freedom, but it is also dangerous. Last year, nearly 100 people right here in Northern Colorado died on our roadways.

The release of road fatalities in the state of Colorado by CDOT shows that 40 people died on the road in Larimer County and 56 in Weld County in 2016. In total, the entire state of Colorado saw 599 deaths on the roads in 2016.

The months with the highest fatalities were July and September with equal deaths of 73 each month. June had the next highest rate with 69 fatalities.
