I have wanted to see this movie since I saw the first movie trailer. It pulled me into its mystery and drug me by the nose for 2.5 hours.

It's not the kind of movie that makes you feel like you shouldn't have skipped ethics or psychology that one time, it's more like the kind that makes you think about what was and what will be. It's the type of movie where half the time you say huh and the other half you say oh, but its not like the huh and the oh are in any kind of order.

Cloud Atlas spans the course of time from the past to the future. It spends time in each period of time all throughout the movie. At times it seems that there is no rhyme or reason to the path this movie is taking and then when you least suspect it, you're trapped. At the moment you thought okay I don't get this movie, it starts to make sense and you can't look away.

If you like to be intrigued and provoked its the movie for you, if you just want to see some ill proved plot and a couple of explosions, maybe not. Not to say that there isn't gun fire and stunts in Cloud Atlas, because there are. You'll even find barbaric behavior and a few other questionable practices.

I give this movie 3 out of 5 buckets of popcorn with butter and extra salt, Enjoy!
