I remember when I first moved to Fort Collins, Dunkin' Donuts. I can't tell you how many times I had gone there, likely not enough as they packed up their bags and moved away, all the way out of Fort Collins in 1998. And now, they're back, Midtown Fort Collins will thrive even more so now with this economic boost.

My favorite donuts were always the maple bars with custard, oh how I loved them. I know that you know that I am not a sweet eater, but for some reason, every once in a while, I will eat a maple bar with custard. I guess it takes me back to when I was a kid, my mom and I always went to this one store that had the doughnut maker right there in front and you could watch them being made. As a child I was full of ooh's and ahh's over the whole process.

According to the Coloradoan, as of today, its official, the lease has been signed. Doug Patterson plans to remodel the location, home of the old Wok & Roll Restaurant that closed its doors last fall. Patterson is in talks with the city to expand the location to create a nearly 15-hundred square feet space for the new Dunkin' Donuts and Coffee Shop at 2801 South College Avenue. Plans are to be up and running by fall.
