
Colorado Reports First Measles Case of 2025 Where+What to Know
The first and official case of Measles since 2023 has been confirmed in Colorado. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment confirmed the outbreak and is urging residents to take precautions.
Where Measles Case Took Place in Colorado
Denver 7 reports that Colorado’s first measles case in two years was confirmed in Pueblo.
There are reports that the person who was diagnosed with measles is an adult and was unvaccinated from the viral disease.

The person traveled to Mexico. In case you missed it, Mexico is dealing with a dramatic measles outbreak.
Outbreak Locations in Pueblo
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment released possible outbreak locations. All of the locations are in Pueblo.
They said that anybody at Southwest Deli and Cafe on S. Pueblo Boulevard may have been exposed to measles on these dates:
- March 17
- March 18
- March 19
- March 20
- March 21
The Colorado Department of Public Health also noted another exposure site.
Southern Colorado Clinic at 109 South Burlington Drive on March 22 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
If you believe you may have been exposed, it is critical to watch your symptoms closely for 21 days.
Symptoms of Measles
According to the CDC, the most common symptoms of measles are a rash, red and watery eyes, runny nose, cough, and a fever that goes above 104 degrees. The viral disease is extremely contagious, however, a vaccination is available.
Measles can easily become more serious, such as pneumonia. So far in 2025, there have been nearly 500 cases of measles across the country.
