It makes sense: offer a brand new city service to residents for free, while you work all the kinks out.  Well, as of today, that time is over for the MAX bus system in Fort Collins.

Kurt Ravenschlag, general manager of Transfort, told The Coloradoan the MAX Transit System did "fairly well" this summer.

But it struggled with getting riders out of downtown at the end of events that featured headliners and with large crowds leaving at the same time, such as the Fourth of July and Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest.

Ravenschlag is confident the system will be improved for next Summer's major events.

From now on, normal Transfort fares will also apply to the MAX line.  Specific prices are given in the video above.
