A Popular Taco Restaurant Returns to Greeley
Many of us in Northern Colorado were devastated to hear the news that a popular taco restaurant was taking a break from slinging tacos and serving up tequila in downtown Greeley.
The announcement that Luna's Tacos & Tequila decided to pause operations at the location in late January. The Facebook post announcing the hiatus said that Luna's was taking time to reenergize, refocus, rejuvinate, and come back stronger.

At the time, we didn't know what that meant for Luna's Tacos & Tequila in downtown Greeley. I have seen many restaurants say they were closing temporarily for many reasons, one of those being for a remodel. However, the reasoning other than what was posted on Facebook wasn't all that clear.
Luna's Tacos and Tequila to Reopen in Downtown Greeley
Thankfully, we do not have to wonder anymore when Luna's will reopen in downtown Greeley. Soon. Very soon. As of April 1, 2025, soon. Luna's Tacos and Tequila took to Facebook to announce that their beloved taco restaurant will reopen on April Fool's Day.
Luna's Tacos and Tequila said that the reopening of the downtown Greeley location will feature new cocktails, new vibes, and, of course, good times. To celebrate the reopening, Luna's will be giving away 1,000 free tacos to the first 250 people at both the Windsor and downtown Greeley locations.
Luna's Tacos and Tequila expanded to a second location in Windsor, Colorado, on April 1, 2024. It only seems fitting that the reopening of the original location of Luna's Tacos and Tequila reemerge on the anniversary of the Windsor location. Plus, it is also Taco Tuesday. More information on the reopening of the downtown Greeley location of Luna's Tacos and Tequila can be found on Facebook.com.
