A startling moment out of Loveland on Tuesday, December 10th had law enforcement rushing to a tanning salon.

Loveland Tanning Salon Attack Leaves Multiple Victims Injured

A 20-year-old man named Kyle Mathew Behrens allegedly attacked two employees and a customer at Endless Summer Tanning , according to reports from Denver 7.

Officials confirm that the incident took place at this Loveland business on Tuesday, December 10th at around 7:00 PM. This tanning salon is located at 1518 Madison Avenue.

Law enforcement says that Behrens attacked a 21-year-old employee, hitting her in the head more than a dozen times with a hammer and then dragged her off to a side room.

Employee Ambushed With Hammer Inside Endless Summer Tanning

When he went to barricade the salon's entry, the employee and customer ran into a nearby room to call 911. Reports claim that Behrens broke into that room and attacked all three of the people stuck in there with a knife.

The victims fought back and pushed their assailant out of the room.

Local law enforcement arrived at the scene during the attack and arrested Behrens. Both victims were taken to the hospital. The employee is being treated for serious injuries while the customer sustained minor injuries, according to reports.

Officials have not provided an update on their condition.

Charges Filed After Violent Loveland Tanning Salon Attack

Denver 7 News confirms that Behrens was booked into Larimer County Jail after a trip to the hospital.

He is being held their on a $500,000 cash-only bond.

Reports confirm that he is facing a laundry list of charges including:

  • Attempted first-degree murder

  • First-degree assault

  • Attempted first-degree assault

  • First-degree burglary

  • Second-degree assault

  • Third-degree assault
