Smoking meat on a grill is an art form. That is a hill I am willing to die on. The method of low and slow, the right rub to make the flavors pop, and the addition of just the right amount of smoke, takes years to master. At least, it did for me.

READ MORE: This Mountain Town Brewery Won’t Be Around Much Longer

There is a great barbecue trading post right here in Northern Colorado. This location has been a go-to for BBQ enthusiasts to get supplies, take cooking classes, and get premium cuts of meat. However, the physical Northern Colorado store won't be around much longer.

Frank’s BBQ Trading Post Leaving Loveland Location

Frank's BBQ Trading Post, located in the Promenade Shops at Centerra, has announced it will be closing the brick-and-mortar location in Loveland, Colorado. Frank's BBQ Trading Post says that the new owners of the Promenade Shops at Centerra have opted not to renew the lease for the barbecue supply store.

After a lot of thought, we've decided not to relocate, but instead transition fully into an online store. What started 6 years ago as a dream to bring great BBQ to Northern Colorado has grown into something we're incredibly proud of. From Competitions, to the purchase of Willow Seasonings to the friendships we've built along the way, we feel like we have obtained that dream tenfold.

Final Celebration Event Planned

Frank's BBQ Trading Post will have a customer celebration party to say goodbye to the Loveland location, coming up on Saturday, April 11, from Noon to 5 p.m. at the store, located at 5943 Sky Pond Drive, E-172. More information on the closure of the brick-and-mortar location of Frank's BBQ Trading Post can be seen on the Facebook post below:
