Sitting in a hot tub in Colorado is something many dream of. It is romantic, relaxing, and on a cold winter day or evening, it is exactly what many need to end the day. After a long day of skiing, snowboarding, working, or hiking, sitting in a hot tub can be what you need to help with all the aches and pains and be the perfect way to relax. For some, it is romantic to have snow around and be in a private hot tub with the person you love. When it comes to sitting in a hot tub in Colorado, should kids be banned so adults can relax properly and enjoy some time without splashing and kids?

Kids Should Be Banned From Hot Tubs in Colorado

To clarify, if you own your own hot tub, you should be able to decide for yourself if your children or their friends are allowed to get in. When you are at a resort, an apartment complex, a hotel, or some place that is public, should kids be banned? Many want to relax and not deal with splashing, screaming, being bumped into, or having kids around when sitting in a hot tub to rest. Not everyone has kids, and some don't want a stranger in their personal space when they are trying to have some quiet and calm time. As a dad, I don't mind my kids being in the hot tub when it is only me, but when others are around, I believe they should get out and leave others alone so that the strangers can relax.

Banning Children From Public Hot Tubs in Colorado

Colorado should pass a law requiring users of hot tubs in public places to be over the age of 18. While some places do this already, by making it a law, then more public places like apartments and hotels can help adults relax more, especially after moving in or after a long day or two on the road. This law should also apply to natural hot springs that many people enjoy relaxing in throughout the state. Yes, you can go to a spa to get away from children, but that costs more money than some want to pay, when these other places could help out those paying rent or for a night at a hotel or motel. When you are in a hot tub, would you prefer to have kids banned so you can relax accordingly?

It may upset parents, but children should not be splashing around in a hot tub while others are looking to relax and have a nice time. That is what pools are for, and if the pool is closed, perhaps they should go play in the bathtub instead, so they don't disturb others. I love my kids, but a hot tub is not where they should be while others are trying to soak.
