I have many heroes in my life; they don't all wear dog tags and wear camouflage. Many have gone through a much bigger battle with childhood cancer. Those kids are their families are true Superheroes too.

This is once again a personal invitation to join me this September for the 'Chop the Mop' event to benefit Zac's Legacy Foundation and St. Baldrick's Foundation and to also raise awareness for Childhood Cancer.

You'd be surprised how nice a feeling it is to actually shave off all your hair. You are not only supporting those who don't have a choice but look at all the time you'll save. Haircuts are only $5 but I would suggest you match my $50 I do every year.

Will you accept the challenge?  Will you donate $50 and have your head shaved?  I will even shave your head. There will also be $5 massages, some silent auction items and even some games to keep the kids busy. Seriously though, anything helps and even if you just come by for a haircut and/or massage, it all helps, even a $5, $10 or $20 donation.

Chop the Mop takes place at Weld County Garage in Greeley on Saturday, September 13 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are interested in a vendor spot or would like to donate a gift for the silent auction, please call Laura Hernandez at 970-381-4408 or click on the link below for the official Facebook event page.

I hope you will accept my challenge and join me in a celebration of life and to show our support not only financially but emotionally as well.
