Memorial Day is this weekend, which most people consider the unofficial start of summer. While most might be focused on the holiday weekend, it is never too soon to start looking ahead and planning some fun events to attend this summer. The following months will be filled with days at the pool, trips to the water park, going to baseball games, going camping, and much more. Johnstown BBQ Day
Johnstown BBQ Day is coming soon, and this year it will be happening on Saturday, June 6. They will be honoring America's 250th and Colorado's 150th. The day will be filled with many fun events, live music, a parade, and of course, food. This annual event is one that many residents look forward to, and it is a great way to get out and meet people in the community, eat, have fun, and create summer memories with the whole family. If you have never been before, you are in for a treat. When does the fun begin, and what can you expect at this year's event?
What to Do at Johnstown BBQ
Johnstown BBQ Day will kick off early, with the Front Range Pancake Breakfast, and at 7 AM, there will be a 5K jog at Roosevelt High School. That will be followed by a parade at 10 AM, a car show, and tons of fun throughout the day. There will be live music from the 6 Million Dollar Band, who will be playing 80s covers, and the night will resume with a fireworks show. You can get up early, enjoy some fun, go home and nap, and come back, or you can stay the whole day.
