A Larimer County Middle School teacher is now facing three sexual assault counts after being arrested earlier this year.

That's according to a post on the Larimer County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

Robert Denise was originally charged with two counts of Sexual Assault On A Child By One In A Position Of Trust (F3).

The assaults allegedly happened in the early 2000s.

According to the post, when word of Denise's arrest got out, investigators received multiple reports involving allegations against Denise. This included a report by an alleged victim who claims to have been assaulted by Denise while Denise was teaching at Cache La Poudre Junior High (now known as Cache La Poudre Middle School). Denise, who is now 59, taught social studies at the school for many years.

According to the post: "Denise now faces a total of three counts of Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust (F3) against two victims, both of whom were under the age of 15 when the incidents were reported to have occurred."

The post goes on to ask other possible victims or anyone with knowledge of his alleged crimes to come forward:

''Anyone with information about unreported inappropriate conduct or abuse involving this suspect is encouraged to contact Investigator Ryan Gebhardt at 970-498-5586. People who wish to remain anonymous may also contact Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868 or www.stopcriminals.org. The charges are merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until, and unless, proven guilty.''
