Are these Really the Worst Pizza Chains in Colorado?

A fairly recent study has not only ranked the five worst pizza chains in the United States but has also shed light on the fact that all five chains have multiple locations in Colorado.

While this study was undoubtedly taken with care and purpose, there are plenty of valid reasons why each one of these restaurants should be defended.

5th Worst Pizza Chain in Colorado: Pizza Hut

Not only has Pizza Hut expanded upon its menu quite a bit over the last couple of decades, but there isn't a '90s child in the country who didn't have the best time celebrating a birthday at the restaurant.

Personally, I have fond memories of visiting the Pizza Hut in Avon, Colorado many times and playing Pink Floyd songs on the jukebox.

4th Worst Pizza Chain in Colorado: Papa John's

Papa John's is certainly a pizza chain that deserves our support. Not only do they deliver later than most pizza joints, but they're one of the few to offer anchovies and the garlic butter used for dipping the crust was a gamechanger.

3rd Worst Pizza Chain in Colorado: Domino's

The study lists Domino's as the 3rd worst pizza joint in the nation, but once again I have to disagree.

Domino's was another one of the only pizza places within a 30-mile radius of Eagle, Colorado where I grew up, and the vast amounts of cheese that came on it made it easily one of my favorite spots.

2nd Worst Pizza Chain in Colorado: Little Caesar's

Ok, I take offense to this one. I survived on a lot of Little Caesar's pizza as a broke college student in Pueblo, Colorado and still enjoy the reasonably-priced pies to this day.

Worst Pizza Chain in Colorado: Chuck E. Cheese

I'll never forget being terrified of the animatronic robots as a young child at a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in Denver, Colorado.

Despite my terror as a wee lad, I've since visited Chuck E. Cheese in Greeley and while the pizza isn't the best on this list, the video games definitely make up for it.
