The list of prohibited items the USPS forbids you from mailing are items that are simply dangerous. No one needs to mail explosives, ammo, gasoline, or dangerous chemicals.
Likewise, restricted items like aerosols, alcohol, and guns require specific conditions and proper packaging. Live animals are also a restricted item. Sending marijuana to someone in the mail is against federal law, regardless of Colorado's laws.
