Jacob Elordi’s New Movie Is Set In Colorado And It Looks Intense

If there's one thing I love, it's a good scary movie—especially a post-apocalyptic scary movie with zombies. If there's a second thing I love, it's Jacob Elordi, who has already shown his acting chops by playing the Monster in Frankenstein, which was released last October on Netflix.

Now we have another apocalyptic masterpiece on the way, and it's set right here in good old Colorado! The movie is called The Dog Stars, and it stars Jacob Elordi, as well as Margaret Qualley and Josh Brolin.

• The story follows Jacob Elordi navigating the world post-apocalypse in the Colorado wilderness.
• Elordi plays a pilot who is able to use his airplane to escape some frightening zombie situations.
• The movie kicks off after Jacob Elordi hears a strange and troubling radio signal and decides to set out in search of other survivors.
• There's a dog, and I swear if the dog dies, I will run out of the theater crying.
• The movie is directed by Ridley Scott, who also directed films such as Alien, Gladiator, Blade Runner, and many more fan favorites.

The filmmakers have yet to give details on which exact Colorado towns or cities are featured in the major motion picture, but I'm sure more and more information will be released as we get closer to the premiere date on August 28, 2026. The movie The Dog Stars is based on a novel by Peter Heller. I personally like reading books before the movie comes out. I'm a nerd like that.
