Children’s Museum of Northern Colorado Looking for Kids’ Monster Drawings
When the Children's Museum of Northern Colorado opens in Loveland, it's going to be a great addition to the area, for kids and adults alike. Part of the museum's artwork will be inspired by monster drawings sent in by local kids.
When Will the Children's Museum of Northern Colorado Be Opening?
This great project has been in the works since 2015. More than 10 years later, in the fall of 2026, the museum should open to the public. Located at Loveland Yards, with 14,00 square feet of indoor and outdoor activities/exhibits.
While the Children's Museum of Northern Colorado is being constructed, not only are they looking for donations for the big mural that will be a part of it, they are also looking for some fun art from Northern Colorado area kids; specifically, "Silly Monsters."

According to the museum, they're going to be decorating the bathroom stall doors with silly monsters designed by a local artist. That artist will garner his inspiration for said "silly monsters' from submitted monster drawings. It will be a neat addition, and something to look forward to when you visit.
No Pay, But Lasting Memories With 'Monsters' Submissions
While there will be no monetary compensation if selected kids' drawings are used, it's still a great way for the local community to be a part of the museum. Who knows, these kids could come back as adults to show off the 'Monsters' that they inspired with their drawings.
I imagine that they'll get a lot of kids submitting their versions of "Mike" and "Sully" from Monsters Inc. Talk about a couple of "silly monsters."
