Trendy Dance Bar in Downtown Loveland Announces Closure
Nightclubs in Colorado can be very successful, with all the young people the state has. One in Loveland had a great plan, things just didn't work out.
When word got out that an EDM club with a rage room would be opening on 4th Street in Downtown Loveland, a lot of people were excited; something like seems to have been long needed. On the other hand, a lot of people said, "Good Luck."
The owners/operators of Lyssa put a lot of time and money into renovating the building it took over on the west end of 4th Street, across from The Cactus Grille. For many years the building was a quiet clothing store, then it became a hip, dance club.

Lyssa (pronounced like "Melissa,") did bring a "nightlife" to Downtown Loveland, which seems to "roll up the sidewalks" at 9 p.m. They had plenty of parties and events inside their fun-feeling venue:
They had a big long bar with a huge mural along the east wall, a balcony where the DJs would perform, and of course, the rage rooms downstairs.
On July 17, 2025 the co-owner of Lyssa announced that Lyssa would be shutting down, citing, among other things, on how the City of Loveland's HEART project (improving 4th Street) had hurt many businesses in Downtown, even though the project was long overdue.
Mocktail Bar to Take Over Dance Club in Downtown Loveland
A man who'd been planning on opening his own "sober bar" not far from Lyssa had been doing "pop ups" at Lyssa; so when the time came to shut Lyssa down, they offered the space to that man, who agreed.
The Love Shack will have coffee and "light food" during the day, and mocktails and fun at night. Downstairs will have arcade games and pool tables. It'll be another "rough go," but it's definitely worth the shot.
