According to the Coloradoan, the driver who allegedly hit a 16-year-old pedestrian and then fled the scene has turned himself in, Fort Collins police confirm.

The reported hit and run accident in Fort Collins Tuesday morning seriously injured a 16 year old teenager in Northwest Fort Collins.

In the report, emergency crews were called to the scene around 7:30am just east of the intersection of Taft Hill Road and Laporte Avenue. Office Matt Johnson of the Fort Collins Police Department told the Coloradoan that the 16 year old boy was walking west on the north side of Laporte Avenue when the westbound vehicle crossed the bike lane and hit him.
