Sometimes businesses don't get to go out the way they want to.

For the past year, construction in Greeley has been causing businesses to see a drop in revenue. In a report from Denver 7, one business owner's bottom line dropped 50% since the construction project started.

One Greeley business is claiming that this massive issue is the reason they had to close up shop so suddenly.

The team at La Petit French Bakery in Greeley shared some upsetting news on their social media page.

Yearlong Construction Impact on Local Businesses

Just like many other businesses La Petit has been suffering due to the yearlong project in the town, and that was made pretty clear in the post.

"The ongoing construction project has presented challenges for the bakery," the post read.

"I wish to thank the many wonderful customers I have had the privilege of serving and getting to know, as well as those who have become friends. La Petite will become an integral part of the Greeley story."

Earlier this month, the staff at the bakery confirmed that they would have a sale of La Petite souvenirs and bakery equipment on November 9th.

No equipment...no product.

La Petit is permanently closed.
