Special Election to Decide Zoning Changes in Greeley

According to a local report, a special election will be held in February that will let Greeley voters decide whether the city should repeal zoning changes for this $800 million dollar entertainment district.

It's a part of Ballot Issue 1A which asks about an ordinance that approved zoning changes for approximately 834 acres of North Highway 34 and east of Weld County Road 17.

While it won't repeal the entire project, it will decide whether to repeal the zoning changes for it.

If a "Yes" vote is reached, then the developers have to put the project on hold for a year.
