The Larimer County Fair & PRCA Rodeo has named the Parade Grand Marshals for 2017. Rod and Beth Johnson have been supporters of 4-H Clubs for over 20 years. Rod and Beth were both involved in 4-H growing up, and had their two sons go through several 4-H programs. They have also been leaders of the Twin Mounds 4-H Club for 40 years. Rod currently sits on the 4-H Foundation Board with his son Blair Johnson. The whole family has volunteered for the 4-H Carnival & Craft Fair for over 20 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson have also committed their time to the annual county fair through the years. Rod served on the fair board for 15 years. Rod and Beth have been involved with the fair through several committees including beef weigh-in, livestock auction, and main judging for the parade. Rod and his two sons continue to work the gates and back of house operations for the Larimer County Rodeo each year.

Rod, Beth, and the entire family have volunteered for several other organizations in Larimer County as well. Rod served as the Exalted Ruler for the Loveland Elks in 2014 and has been an officer for several years. They help with Christmas parties for kids, Hoop Shoot, and many years of the Little Britches Rodeo. The entire family also helps with the Veterans Parade each year.

When is the Parade?

The parade is Saturday, July 29 at 9:30 a.m. The parade will start at Fairgrounds Park and head north on Railroad Avenue, cross over 6th Street, head south on Cleveland Avenue, and end at Barnes Softball Complex at Fairgrounds Park. The parade theme for 2017 is "Uniquely Larimer County".
