When I was a kid there was no bigger deal than to be featured in the Holyoke Enterprise. That was our local newspaper. It's still a big deal to me. I want the folks I grew up with to know that I am doing o.k.

Recently the Enterprise did a story about Brian, Susan, and me being inducted into the Country Radio Hall-of-Fame. They covered it because both Brian and I have ties to Holyoke. I grew up there and graduated from HHS in 1984. Brian's son owns a house in the town now. He lives right across the street from my Uncle Bob.

I don't care how old I get or how how far removed I get from Holyoke, it's still a big deal to be featured in the "local" paper.  The big news this week is that the Holyoke Dragons basketball team just won a State Championship. I am very proud. It was certainly  a wonderful place to grow up.
