The deceased victim in the Fort Collins stabbing incident late Tuesday has been identified.

The victim, identified as 61-year-old Cathy J. Mondragon of Fort Collins, died from exsanguination and aspiration due to multiple stab wounds of the head and neck.

Manner of death is determined to be homicide.

Mondragon was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland after police responded to report of a stabbing on Stover Street late Tuesday. Upon arrival, they found 2 female victims - including Mondragon.

The second victim remains at MCR and is being treated for multiple stab wounds.

Through investigation, Tolentino Corzo-Avendano, 26, was identified as a suspect and was arrested at an address on Erin Ct for first degree homicide and attempted first degree homicide. He was booked into Larimer County Jail on a no-bond warrant.
