Fort Collins Great Plates of Downtown Starts in One Week

Every year the Downtown Business Association teams up with downtown businesses to bring you Great Plates of Downtown. Great Plates is a way for dining enthusiasts to try downtown restaurants at reduced costs for a good cause and it all starts in one week.

This is definitely a favorite time of year for me as it opens up the possibilities. Many restaurants in Old Town participate and create special menus at great prices during Great Plates. Most dining packages are created for one or two diners at 25 dollars or 2.50 for breakfast. Great Plates brings awareness to the Larimer County Food Bank.The great prices do not reflect a donation to the food bank however.

In Fort Collins there are approximately 14 percent of all families living at or below the Federal Poverty Guidelines. You'll receive a donation envelope when you dine, last year over 50-thousand dollars was raised and in 2015 the goal has been set at 60-thousand. A ten dollar donation will serve 40 meals.

Over 30 restaurants will be participating in this years Great Plates.
