Trying new and different food is a fun experience. There are a ton of unique and exotic meats to try in Colorado. When you eat exotic meat you have to keep an open mind.
Even if the meat is gross and nasty, you have the opportunity to try something new. You never know when you may find a new favorite.
I had that experience a few years ago. I used to be a relatively picky eater until I tried frog legs. Frog legs are generally a French dish, but I had the opportunity to try them.
They were great. I said the famous phrase when most people try a new exotic meat.

We live in an area where eating an elk burger is normal. I have family on the west coast and they can't believe that eating elk is so common in Colorado.
And of course, Colorado is famous for rocky mountain oysters. I will admit, I refuse to try rocky mountain oysters. I can't forget what they actually are. I've had quite a few opportunities, but I always pass.
