Elk Herd Spotted in Loveland Parking Lot
Sometimes, you have to go deep into the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to catch a glimpse of wildlife. Other times, a wild animal could be standing right there in your backyard, depending on where you live.
Living Close to Rocky Mountain National Park
The great thing about living in Northern Colorado is how close we actually are to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Many tourists come to Colorado every year just to visit the park. We get to take a short drive up the highway, and we are in the middle of it.
Bears, deer, bighorn sheep, and elk are all species of wildlife that can be seen at any given moment just miles away in the mountains. There have been numerous sightings of elk herds outside of the mountains and into the foothills near Loveland in recent years.

Even Elk Love Outdoor Gear
Apparently, even the elk know that Jax Outdoor Gear is the best place for all things outdoors, because a herd was spotted hanging out in the parking lot. Jax Outdoor Gear posted a photo of the elk herd hanging out in the parking lot, saying, "even our resident elk love to shop local."
