My Experience During Egg Shortage in Northern Colorado
A week ago, I went to Costco in Timnath and I was pleasantly surprised to see that eggs were available for purchase.
There was a certain buzz in the warehouse that eggs were there. I noticed around the dairy section that people were flocking to grab as many curtains of eggs as they possibly could.
One shopper had eight cartons of eggs. Quick reminder: Costco sells eggs in 24 packs.

That one shopper bought 192 eggs in total. Can you think of one household that would actually use 192 eggs before they expire?
I understand that we are in the middle of an egg shortage, however, it is not a time to get greedy. The hustle and bustle of my Costco shopping experience was reminiscent of the toilet paper shortage during the pandemic.
The egg shortage is a lot less dramatic. However, the urgency and stockpiling habits remain the same among shoppers.
