Do You Despise the Endless Pain of Being Trapped in a Group Message? [POLL]
I know that most of us think that technology is great. I know it is supposed to help make life easier. There are some things that drive me nuts though. One of those things is “group messaging” via text. I know group messaging can save people a lot of time.
If you are a coach or in charge of a large group of people for an event, I know it is much easier to send a group message then to send dozens of messages separately. The problem is that people don’t know the proper etiquette to reply to one. I hate it when I get a group message and then my phone blows up for the next hour with every person that message was sent to responding in. I ask this simple favor. If you get a group message, please don’t just reply. Text the person who sent it and send them and them alone a response.
I may be off here. Maybe most people want to know what everyone else responds. Am I the only one this bugs the heck out of? Don’t even get me started on the people who hit “reply to all” on work e-mails. That is topic for another day. Let me know how you feel about group messaging. Take the poll below and let your voice be heard.
