Discover a New Type of Doughnut in Windsor at Ollie’s
Just when you thought you hit the pinnacle of doughnut perfection in Colorado, a new place comes along that will have you questioning everything in life. If you have ever been to Hawaii, you might have heard of these types of doughnuts before, and now, you can find them at a shop in Windsor, Colorado.
In 2023, Sean and Michelle Olander debuted a new food truck in Northern Colorado called Ollie's Malasadas. These delectable treats quickly became popular among residents and foodies.

This week, the Olanders opened up a brick-and-mortar location in downtown Windsor.
Ollie's Malasadas Opens For Business in Downtown Windsor
Located at 408 Main Street, Ollie's Malasadas has quite the crowd for the grand opening on Thursday, March 13. People lined up out the door just to get a taste of the new location. I wanted to be a part of the grand opening, but since the line was so long and I was on a time crunch, I decided to come back the next day.

I spent a little bit of time speaking with Sean Olander, co-owner of Ollie's Malasadas, and he said that the first hours of the new location have been busy. We can certainly see why. These tasty treats are super delicious and there are many different varieties to choose from.
Olander said that the two most popular offerings on the menu are the berry and vanilla curd malasadas. Ollie's Malasadas are made with high-quality ingredients and are made to order. I had the luxury of being able to taste an Ollie's Malasada while it was still warm. Let me tell you, it was a thing of beauty.
Ollie's Malasadas will still operate the food truck, but it is currently on a temporary hiatus. According to olliesmallies.com, the food truck ceased operations on January 1, 2025, but will reopen and be venturing around Northern Colorado later this spring.
