Benefit Golf Tournament for 22-Year-Old Battling Cancer
Some very good friends of mine have a 22-year-old daughter who is battling cancer. Fort Collins Country Club will be the host site of a benefit golf tournament on Monday, October 1st, in honor of Mikayla.
Connie and John Hanrahan issued the following statement:
On June 1, 2018 our daughter Mikayla was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma. Since day one, she has handled her diagnosis with strength, determination and a beautiful smile that rarely disappears. Her treatment consists of six cycles of a 21-day regiment of chemo (one week in PVH for chemo, then two weeks out to recuperate), followed by two shorter chemo cycles, which will be followed by weeks of radiation. Her health team at our local UCHealth Cancer Center, the 5th floor nurses of Poudre Valley Hospital, as well as those at Anschutz and Children’s Hospital, have been the very best we could’ve ever hoped and prayed for. We appreciate your good thoughts, prayers and support.
