How Often Are People in CO on Their Phones Every Day?
Cell phones are a major part of our lives. Everyone seems to have one, and while everyone uses them for something different, they seem to dominate most people's lives. Some use them for simple things like texting or phone calls, others use them to scroll the internet or be on social media, and some use them for a living to record videos, take pictures, and be an influencer. Look around at the doctor's office, at work, or any public place, and most people are on their phones these days, instead of talking to people around them. Knowing that phones dominate people's lives, how much are people in Colorado on them, and when are they using them most?
Phone Usage in Colorado
According to a recent study on ezcontacts.com, 20 percent of Americans spend over 8 hours a day on average on their phones. That is a day's worth of work spent scrolling, posting, watching, texting, and more. An astounding 91 percent admitted that the first thing they do when they wake up in the morning is check their phone, although since many use it as an alarm, that could play a factor in such a high percentage. Of those 91 percent, 36 percent said they check social media instantly, and 27 percent check their text messages. Proving that people are addicted to their phones, 62 percent of people check their phones every 30 minutes or less, and 8 percent check their phones every one to five minutes.
What Colorado is Doing on Their Phones
Is looking at your phone the last thing you do before you go to bed? Apparently, many do it, as 77 percent scroll before bedtime, but 24 percent say doing so makes it hard to sleep. How much do phones take over lives? Sadly, 26 percent have admitted to cancelling plans with someone because they got caught up scrolling their phone, and 22 percent say their partner has gotten upset by how much screen time they use. Clearly, phone usage is a problem for many in Colorado, and society is too reliant on cell phones every day. There are good ways to use it, but too much of something is never good.

While using your phone is a big part of life these days, sometimes it is best to put it away, get outside, and enjoy Colorado. If you feel you spend too much time on your phone, you clearly are not alone, though, and likely someone spends more time on their phone than you do on yours.
