Could This Be the Hottest Chicken in All of Northern Colorado?

One of the things on my food bucket list is hot chicken from Nashville, Tennessee. Some might call me crazy as this style of chicken can get into the atomic level of heat, however, I am always up to try new things and am a fanatic of spicy food in general.

While I may have to wait for quite some time to get legit hot chicken in the city of Nashville, there is a place in Fort Collins that has not been open for too long that has a flavor of chicken that piques my interest.

Dave's Hot Chicken opened in Fort Collins in September of 2023 and I have been wanting to try it out for quite some time. Since discovering a heat level on the hot chicken called "REAPER", I have wanted to try it out even more.

What is a Carolina Reaper?

If you are not brushed up on your hot peppers, it might be easy to think that a Carolina Reaper is something other than an insanely hot chili pepper. In 2017, the Carolina Reaper was certified as the world's hottest pepper by the Guinness World Records with a scorching heat level of more than 1.6 million Scoville Heat Units. It's spicy and Dave's Hot Chicken uses this pepper to season the hottest levels of its hot chicken.

Dave's Hot Chicken offers four different combo types ranging from tenders to sliders. For those that also don't like to live on the spicier side of life, there are different levels of heat too.
