Community Assistance Requested in Identifying Two Suspects [VIDEO]
The Weld County Sheriff's Office is looking for two suspects who may have been involved in an assault on Sunday, April 15, 2018. At approximately 8:00 pm, Deputies with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Weld County Road 31 and Weld County Road 76, west of Eaton, on a report of an assault
When deputies arrived, they learned that the victim had been assaulted by two unknown males. The victim had dash cam footage captured the assault. The video shows a what appears to be silver 4-door Volkswagen with unknown plate number, passing the victim’s while motioning an obscene hand gesture. The silver Volkswagen then pulls in front of the victim’s vehicle and stops in the lane of travel.
The driver (Suspect #1) approaches the victim’s vehicle with a baseball bat, while the second occupant in the silver Volkswagen (Suspect #2) approaches the victim’s vehicle and throws a bottle at the victim’s vehicle. (Suspect #1) is seen swinging the baseball bat towards the victim’s windshield.
Both male suspects then pull the victim out of the vehicle and assault him. (Suspect #2) is then seen pointing a what appears to be a handgun towards the victim. Both suspects then retreated back towards the silver Volkswagen and drove off northbound on Weld County Road 31.
