While some states prefer chips and others prefer candy, not in Colorado. According to the study, Colorado's favorite gas station snack is Duke's Smoked Sausages. This is surprising, as someone who lives in Colorado and went through the state many times before living here, I have never seen or heard of Duke's Smoked Sausages. The number one snack in America was Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream, which was the favorite in five states, followed by Little Debbie Swiss Rolls in four states, and Planters Trail Mix being third and the favorite in three states.

Now that we know what people are getting, where is the favorite place to fill up tanks in Colorado? While some might assume it is Buc-ee's, they would be wrong. According to the study, King Soopers is the number one choice for filling up in Colorado. There are more of them, and they have been around much longer, so perhaps this isn't a surprise. Buc-ee's, Mobil, and Shell all tied at the top of the list, each is the favorite choice in three states. Seeing how three states is the most, it shows that most in America seem to prefer local gas stations over some of the bigger national chains.
