It is not a secret that many of us in Colorado were not born and raised here.

Many Colorado residents were born and raised in different states and communities and they chose Colorado to be their home.

Most Coloradans actually choose to live here rather than growing up in the state. Only 42% of current Colorado residents were born in Colorado, so it’s clear that many people have relocated here.

When you meet someone, can you tell whether they grew up in Colorado? Are there signs? Sure, out-of-state license plates are one indicator, but many Coloradans believe other factors can also spot new residents.
