Trucker’s Route from Washington to Texas Disrupted

These Switch 2 consoles are usually transported by semi-trucks all over the country from Nintendo of America in Redmond, Washington. One trucker was transporting thousands of new Nintendo consoles from Washington state to Grapevine, Texas.

Things were going well on the cross-country haul until his pre-trip inspection. That is when the truck driver discovered that the trailer had been broken into and several pallets were stolen.

Nearly 3,000 Switch 2 Consoles Stolen in Colorado

The theft of the nearly 3,000 Nintendo Switch 2 gaming consoles was reported on June 8 at around 8 a.m. at the Love's Truck Stop in Bennett, Colorado, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office.

According to 9 News, the truck driver told deputies that he was heading to GameStop in Grapevine, Texas, and did not know what was inside the trailer exactly. He did, however, know that the trailer contained games or toys.

Currently, the investigation into the 2,810 stolen Nintendo Switch 2 consoles is underway. It is not clear if the heist of the thousands of gaming consoles took place in Colorado or another location.

If the suspects are caught, they could face charges of felony theft valued at $1 million or more and criminal mischief.
