Universities can select students based on this factor.

The Supreme Court recently made a ruling that allows universities to select their students by not only academics but by race.

What is Colorado Mesa University's policy on race and admissions? I looked on their website, after searching for about 10 minutes I couldn't find any concrete clauses that stated any type of race-related admissions policies.

The New York Times wrote about a Texas woman who was denied admission to the University of Texas at Austin based on her race. It's a pretty long and ongoing issue. Obviously, there are many, many arguments for and against. The college believes in promoting student body diversity. Opponents are claiming that this is affirmative action gone wild.

In 2016 you would think that 'affirmative action' is a thing of the past.

Let us know how you feel. Should Universities have that type of decision-making abilities?
