Colorado has again been hit hard with wildfires before the official arrival of Summer has even made it's way into the state.  The worst of these fires is obviously the fire still burning in the Black Forest area outside Colorado Springs.  This Thursday, we all will have a chance to help out no matter where you are.

Although the Black Forest fire is about 85% contained as of this story, it did burn almost 15,000 acres and over 500 homes including two people who lost their lives in the fire.

This Thursday, the Colorado Broadcasters Association (CBA) is asking all Colorado radio and television broadcasters to join forces 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM to help those affected by these recent Colorado wildfires.

Rocky Mountain PBS will offer their call center and Denver broadcast facilities to provide a central headquarters for this statewide fundraiser. Red Cross volunteers will staff the live phone bank.

You can call anytime Thursday June 20th between 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM at 1-877-667-6727.
