This One Thing is the Most Prioritized by Colorado Residents
When you go to work day after day, there is usually something that motivates you to keep going. Whether that is to purchase your first home, by that new car, or maybe pay for your dream wedding. We all have goals in life and money is the main factor in achieving those goals.
A recent study conducted by Grand European Travel surveyed more than 2,000 U.S. citizens and showed Coloradans have one main goal when it comes to saving money. To get out of Colorado.
Colorado residents want to travel. They want to explore the world and see new things. I can say with certainty that I am in this group of people who prioritize travel when it comes to saving money. Overall, Colorado ranked in fourth place in states that put travel as a top priority.
Where do Colorado residents want to travel to the most?
Get your passports ready, because the two most popular destinations for Coloradans take you out of the United States of America to Japan and Italy.
Japan is a popular destination for the men of Colorado and nationwide. While I may have not taken a trip to Japan as of yet, it is certainly on my travel bucket list.
Italy ranks as the most popular destination for the women of Colorado and the nation. Italy is an amazing place and my wife and I have been there a handful of times over the past few years. The entire country is basically an open-air museum and the food is totally worth the price of the round-trip flight alone. Oh, Roman Carbonara... How I miss you so.
Our favorite destination for my family is tied equally between Rome, Italy, and Barcelona, Spain. After visiting each city three times, it is nearly impossible for us to pick a favorite.
How Colorado residents save for travel

Overall, Coloradans save for approximately 11 months for an entire year's worth of travel.
