Cheyenne Man Charged with Two Counts of Aggravated Assault
A 36-year-old Cheyenne man charged with beating his wife with a "nightstick" is now facing another aggravated assault charge.
Zachary Hernandez made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court this (Tuesday) morning.
Charging documents allege Hernandez "threatened to use a drawn knife" on a bouncer after getting into a fight with a male patron at the Cadillac Ranch Bar on Sunday morning.
At the time, Hernandez was being sought on a felony warrant for an April 2 aggravated assault in which he allegedly hit his wife in the face with an expandable baton.
If convicted of the two assaults, Hernandez could face up to 20 years in prison. He's also facing misdemeanor drug possession and DUI charges from last April.
Hernandez is currently being held in the Laramie County Jail on $10,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 17 at 10 a.m.
