According to the Centers for Disease Control, a 14-state Salmonella outbreak has been linked to a Colorado seafood company. If you're thinking, 'Seafood from Colorado?' Me too.

The CDC said that seafood from Northeast Seafood Products of Denver, Colorado including: 'Haddock, Monkfish, Bone-in Trout, Grouper, Red Snapper, Red Rock Cod, Ocean Perch, Pacific Cod, Halibut, Coho Salmon, Atlantic Salmon Portions, Lane Snapper, Tilapia, All Natural Salmon Fillet, Pacific Sole, and Farm Raised Striped Bass' is being recalled from grocery stores like Safeway, Albertson's and Sprouts due to contamination with the bacteria that can cause severe illness.

According to the CDC report, over 100 people, mostly in Colorado, have reported Salmonella cases after eating seafood products from the Denver-based distributor. Cases have also been reported in Washington, Texas, Wyoming, Arizona and more, where people had 'reported traveling to Colorado during the week they got sick.'

No deaths, however 19 people have been hospitalized due to this outbreak as of October 9. Salmonella symptoms can include vomiting, diarrhea for over three days, and a fever over 102 degrees. You can read more from the CDC here.
